Part exhibition and sidewalk party, part civic pride, part intercultural exploration and inspiration, "this is WHAM!'s 6th exhibition and community celebration. Our micro-neighborhood, roughly 1/2 square mile at the pinnacle of  Woodside, Queens, contains an astonishing number of hair salons and barber shops - 15, plus a school for hair dressers! 

You and yours are cordially invited to the grand opening at 12 noon on Memorial Day Monday May 25, 2026. Local hair professionals will cut the ribbon and the exhibition's artists/curators will offer introductory remarks  WHAM!s sculpture garden will be open with family friendly activities galore:

• free popcorn & seltzer bar

• our much ballyhooed guessing contest (winner receives a free WHAM! BBQ for four), and

• by popular demand, the return of Museum Dollar, the world's first and only museum gift shop where everything costs only one dollar.

• free directory of local hair services

on view 24-7-365!
